Before my son was diagnosed with cancer at his 4 year well check visit, I had no idea this world even existed. All that changed when we were immediately thrown head first into this terrible "childhood cancer club". In addition to learning about chemo drugs, side effects, and late effects, we also learned about the extreme lack of funding when it comes to childhood cancer research. This is where you can help! In addition to donating your miles and activity minutes, you can also donate to much-needed research. Only 4% of national cancer research funding goes towards childhood cancer. Only 3 new drugs have been developed in the last 20 years to treat children. Despite those itty bitty numbers, 46 children are diagnosed with cancer every single day and 7 die. That's too many kids and not enough funding! Thank you for making a difference!
