Dear Friends and Family,
I have learned that the word MITZVAH in Hebrew means an act of human kindness or a good deed!
For my MITZVAH project, I am raising money for families of children with pediatric cancer. This year, our close family friend, 12 year old Gabe Patnoi, was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma. My mom, brother and I saw first hand the stress and trauma having a child in treatment can bring to a family with pediatric cancer. Also, my late Aunt Mindy who I was named for, passed of breast cancer before I was born. My beloved Aunt Rhona who we all loved and adored battled Pancreatic Cancer. So when it came time for me to choose a mitzvah project, I knew right away I wanted to make a difference for the families struggling while their loved ones battle cancer.
I love sports competition; hockey and lacrosse are my passions. So for my MITZVAH project, I thought why not have a plank competition where we can show our solidarity in support of Gabe Patnoi and other children & families in similar situations that need incredible strength to get better.
If you can't join us at my house for the plank competition that's ok, you can use the link to donate. There is no amount too small and I appreciate your help as will the families who will get 100 percent of the proceeds through the amazing organization, MAXCURE.
Thank you Everyone for your generosity and support.
